2OT: Fat Charlie
Seriously, Davie and Willingham never shit the bed as bad as this clown. With the talent and experience on that team, that record is shameful. I was really hoping he would continue as their coach as that would benefit Michigan/anyone else playing ND. Now they might go and get an actual coach to lead all that talent. Scary.

Interesting. By saying so many times that he doesn't want to focus on himself, he ends up focusing his entire spiel on himself. This SoS can't even own up to his own epic fail.

Regardless of coach, ND is going to struggle to get recruits with another change (at least for the first year). They are really stuck in a strange CFB blackhole.

With the talent they already have if they choose a Brian Kelly for example, someone who is completely focused on the vertical game, the transition may not be so rough. Should they choose an Urban Meyer - the transition may be a little tougher just based on system and existing skill set. That has to be factored in I think.
They could definitely have an exodus however of talented players who decide no Charlie, no reason to live. Despite having more food in the spring ball buffet line. Such as the emu....

He should be able to get a better contract in 2010 than he will coming out of a new system in 2011 into a situation where rookies will make less anyway.
Whatever happens, I hope it all adds up to an easy UM victory in South Bend next year.
