I am curious. How are you able to get these pristine caps?

I think it involves a pretty elaborate setup of TiVos but the google machine has failed me on finding anything specific. I would like to set up something similar if the price for entry is not too high.

I know you used to be able to get HDMI splitters that would just break the HDCP encryption and then you could just use any capture card to capture off your DVR. I've been meaning to do the same, but I don't know of any guaranteed piece of hardware that will break encryption.
