1st ballgame this saturday--Questions....

Submitted by Nate-Dawg on
Hey all- So I'll be attending my first michigan basketball game this saturday night against NW. I am planning on getting to Crisler around 630, an hour and a half before tip. I had a couple quick questions for those of you who regularly attend. 1) Where is the best place to park? Can I just park in the parking lot directly east of the Stadium and the Arena or do I have to have a pass to park there? 2) My tickets are in section 59, row 16. Section 59 is indicated to be in the student section. If I get there early enough, can I move down to get closer to midcourt to be in the middle of the Maize-Rage? In other words, how strict are they in checking tickets, and once I'm down in my section can I just move closer to midcourt with all the other students? 3) If I get there early enough, do any of the players/coaches sign autographs? What would be early enough? Like I said, I'm planning to get there about an hour and a half early. I think thats it. Really appreciate any feedback. Hopefully the team bounces back on saturday night.

I can't answer all of your questions but I personally think the best place to park is at the U of M golf course across the street. There is a tunnel going under Stadium Ave, or St or Rd or whatever its called, that will get you into the parking lots and its only about a 5 minute walk. The cost for parking at the golf course is $10.00. The other 2 questions that you asked I am not totally sure of so I'm not even going to bother and give you advice on that, but if I had to guess I think you'd be able to sneak into the Maize-Rage if you dress accordingly and I'm sure if you got there early enough you'd be able to snag some autographs.

I would think you would be fine to sneak down into the student section if you dress accordingly. I would guess your best chance at autographs would be after the game but someone may know better.

I don't think they park at the golf course during winter. You should have no probably getting a good parking space 2 hours before the game. If they lose, it's all your fault! Hope that doesn't weigh on you too much.
