I'm listening to this amazing interview with Juwan Howard. It's nearly 2 hours, and goes into many topics that I have never heard Juwan talk about. I can't recommend it enough - most of you will love to hear it.

~18m, I didn't know this, Juwan says he had intentions on going to Illinois, but there was a recruiting scandal, so he came to Michigan, thank the basketball gods.

A long time before, when Juwan was in high school. (My post wasn't clear on that, but if you listen to the interview, you'd know the context.)
[Edit] Later around 1h43m, he says Michigan is the only college he would consider being a head coach. He wouldn't go to any other college. If he didn't get an NBA head coaching position, he'd have stayed an assistant for the Heat.
