Enjoy & GO BLUE!!
Sorry bro, but this was already posted...
20 YEARS AGO!!!!!
Dunno why you are being downvoted. I would have posted this if I was clever enough to have thought of it.
Seems like it's been a lifetime ago.
That was almost 20 years ago. Woodson JUST retired from football. Let that sink in - the guy was right!
I think that his NFL career backed him up. He should provably go down as the best DB in history, or at a minimum one of the best ever. I'm not positive Peyton is in the same boat.
Peyton was definitely not one of the best DBs in history. You're on pretty solid ground.
;)
Here's an enjoyable (and, sorry, paywalled) WSJ article from 2014 that gives the edge to Woodson:

"A career high 70 plays"
For the times they are a-changin'
4 of the teams in the top 5 were playing each other. We beat the hell outta psu and the Noles zapped N. Carolina. 2018 is Playoffs or bust!
This is what is called "calling your shot." And it's incredible.
Is that what the Heisman is for??????
/S
Loved his swagger. that team had attitude. what a fun year to be a fan.
he was not only the best player in college football that year, he was also the best Michigan football player ever since (and arguably back to Desmond?)
I still remember Desmond against Indiana they couldn't guard him on goalline. I think had 4tds that game slant fade ect. You know a guys good when everyone knows who you throwing it to and can't stop it.
Me and my boys all were partying in Old Town Pasadena for New Years like we usually do. This year was special because of Michigan and the Possible Nat Championship. I remember drinking and talking to these girls from Michigan and all of a sudden all 4 of them serenaded me w the Fight Song and when it ended each of them came up to me and made out w me one right after the other for about 10-15 seconds each. It's like they got in line lol, to say I had a great night was a understatement. Then I went and sat on the 50 yard line the next day and never left me seat once and lost my voice and watched Michigan win! Desmond Howard was sitting about 5 rows in front of us yelling and jumping up and down as well. I will never forget that whole year.
But I remember it like yesterday.
Beat the hell out of psu.
I just started up the YouTube of the PSU game, and hearing Keith Jackson's intro on the pregame stadium b-roll footage thing gave me all the feels. The football just got referred to as "the spheroid."
Don't mind me, going to just sit here and pump my fist in the air for two hours.
Immortal words after the OSU game:
"I make plays baby. Hey I make plays, that's all there is to it. They do the talking. I do the walking."
is the annoying-ass Dr Sap Archives taking up the bottom half of the screen really necessary?
Eh I understand your point, but he has a collection of stuff that he doesn't want ripped and reposted. A small watermark can easily be covered. Then again, I do think that it makes the video much less watchable.
My favorite Woodson quote of all time came after the OSU game:
I make plays baby. Hey I make plays, that's all there is to it. They do the talking. I do the walking.
Woodson didn't just play well in big time games. He owned the spotlight and he dominated. The bigger the spotlight, the bigger his game. He carried the team and was a man among boys. Made David Boston his bitch.
CW had the swagger and ALWAYS backed it up.
His performance in the OSU game was epic and his domination of David Boston is a memory I will always treasure.
Believe that. Still like the fact that Charles shutdown and shut up David Boston's mouth in 97.
