Man, I loved Michigan Replay in those days. Especially after a really great win, my Dad would be so eager to watch it he wouldn't be able to wait to watch the VCR recording, we'd get to skip church to watch it immediately. Thanks for sharing this!

Michigan Replay was the best. Too bad Rich Rod didn't wanna do it anymore and they had to replace it with Inside Michigan Football.

I never was and I am still not a morning person even though I have to pretend to be now that I am some thirteen years into that "real job" thing, but I would always be up and aware for Michigan Replay. I actually liked the early 1990s sets - very conversational, and somehow suited to Moeller in that sense.

RR actually had nothing to do with that. My understanding the producers of the show no longer wanted to do it

Well... It was a mixture of both. The producer was getting older, AND RichRod told the Athletic Department he wanted to use the time after games to meet with recruits instead of recording a TV show pretty much the entire state set their alarms to on Sunday mornings. One recruiting method against another...

Was the production schedule a bit of a bitch? Absolutely. But if RR wanted to do the show, it would have gone on. Instead, we got the cheap imitation Inside Michigan Football, with goofy camera work and bad lighting.
