Musket Rebellion

That the Winterhawks would get caught cheating isn't surprising (they are ridiculously talented, and sometimes that is about more than just being a great organization) but at the same time they have a long lineage of putting players in the NHL (Mark Messier, Cam Neely, Marian Hossa, Brendan Morrow, Adam Deadmarsh, etc...) so it wouldn't be out of the blue for high quality talent to show up in Portland. As a transplanted Wolverine up here in PDX it would be a shame if the Winterhawks had been dubious in their recruiting tactics. But honestly, the $250,000 fine wouldn't really hurt the Winterhawks, and, as the article states, they trade most of their draft picks away anyways, so losing a few wouldn't really hurt them. The cupboards are already stacked for the next 2-3 years.
