the underlying theme is Nike vs. Adidas, as Michigan and Wisconsin are both sponsored by the three stripes.  exposure for these brands in big games is why these companies pay millions of dollars to be sponsors.

I wish they wouldn't wear alternate uniforms for the game.  It's the game... not a good time for marketing from a fan's perspective.  Let's just see two classic teams punch it out.
