Michigan - SDSU Every Snap Videos

Submitted by Thorin on

I decided I don't hate myself enough to listen to Chris Martin and Eric Collins talk for six hours, so I deleted the audio and continued my tradition of using "comically ill-suited" music. In this case, we have the music from the second level of Donkey Kong 64 called Angry Aztecs and the (probably too dramatic) theme and end credit music from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. That said, you should probably have the volume turned down unless you're trying to watch film like Greg Robinson.

In a continuing effort to quantify how much punishment Denard is taking, I count 5 "direct hits," where he's hit head on, driven into the turf, or someone lands on him when he's down with bad intent (1 of these on a drop back pass). This is an improvement over last week, where I counted 11.

I didn't get to see the game so thanks for posting this.

Something that struck me as odd in the defense every snap video was how often our d-line seemed to be scrambling to get in position before the snap.  Luckily SDSU didn't take advantage of the (seeming) chaos by running a no-huddle or going on a quick snap.  But if they had the results could've been catastrophic.  I didn't notice all this "shifting" during the ND or Western games.  Was this a new wrinkle by Mattison designed to disguise our defense?  Or were we having problems adjusting to their formations?

Every Snap is more like a video UFR. Mattison addressed the pre-snap shifting in his presser yesterday. In short, it's supposed to be like that and he thought they did a good job of getting set before the snap against SDSU.
