SEGMENT 1: PSU G1&G2

starts at 0:57

A long discussion about hair and John Buccigross. Game 1 was strangely defensive. Michigan played well early but then faded later on. Are bad second periods becoming a pattern? GVW's line was the best, but he exited the game halfway through. Late game situations were nervewracking but Benier's empty netter iced it. Game 2 had a bizarre start, obligatory BTN+ discussion ensues. Michigan seemed to steady themselves and were in cruise control early in the second period.... then the wheels came off. An onslaught of goals buried Michigan in a 9-5 loss. PSU was angry.

SEGMENT 2: What went wrong & Minnesota Preview

starts at 33:46

DZTO's are now a major problem with this team. Mel has to clean that up. Michigan's penalty kill was also ruthlessly exposed. They're good at clearing the puck once they get it but they do little to take it from you or obstruct passing lanes. Just not enough defensive compete right now. Massive series with Minnesota upcoming... 5-5 is very different than 7-3. Both teams are playing with a hand tied behind their backs because of the WJC. Gut check time for the 2020-21 Michigan hockey season. How do they respond to adversity?
