---------------------------------

1. Notre Dame Game 1

starts at 0:57

Michigan simply made too many mistakes and Notre Dame played the game they want to play it. Got outworked on the boards on the second goal and Jack Summers mightily struggled on the second goal. After Michigan fell down they just panicked, poor line change and ND goes up 3-0. Good work to claw back in but ultimately not enough. Michigan outmuscled for the second straight week but this week it mattered.

2. Notre Dame Game 2 and PSU

starts at 27:08

Michigan cleaned it up defensively but also didn't get as many good looks offensively as in game 1. That sinking "here we go again" feeling heading into the third and then ND scores on the epitome of puck luck. Ugly York turnover leads to the empty netter. Truscott has been a pleasant surprise though. Should Michigan shuffle up the lines? Beecher's not a high end offensive guy and his line needs a spark. Wisconsin got swept by ASU, while MSU/OSU split games. Penn St. is running the same system but without the pieces to do it, playing a style this Michigan team will love to play. The Minnesota series in a week will see both teams shorthanded thanks to the WJC.
