[After THE JUMP: What we said]

---------------------

1. Illinois Preview

starts at the top

Chase Brown might be hurt. Their running game runs everything under the Harbaugh sun—good thing we've seen that in practice a few times. Their defense will man up and blitz you, except against Purdue for some reason, which didn't work out for them.

2. Nebraska After Review

starts at 31:15

Running game execution is a hell of a thing to hang your hat on. Panic about the deep passing game yet? What about getting pressure? Yes, Michigan gets sacks, but mostly against bad competition and late when teams are in comeback mode. DTs are the best part of the defense.

3. Hoops Arizona State

starts at 50:26

Sometimes shots don't go down/go down and it's very dumb but this team isn't built to have Hunter do this all by himself.

4. Hockey

starts around 1:10:56

Sucks to have so many guys out you've got your 3rd goaltender dressed as a skater, and then you lose Ciccolini to a headshot and the guy who did it stays in to score two points. Also sucks that this was supposed to be the marquee weekend at Yost. Bench penalty for coming out late got Minnesota a 3-on-2 and that was the difference.

About the Featured Musician

Legume (Bandcamp, Facebook, Spotify) is a Detroit group fronted by Liam McNitt. It's chill acoustic or plucking-at-a-Fender vibe stuff but there's a hint of funk or jazz that creeps in sometimes. Liam's voice has a Julian Casablancas lilt. The lyrics are clever, though the poetry trips over itself at times.

  • Let's Waste Away Together
  • In My Room
  • Thrill

Also because Across 110th Street will get our Youtubes taken down, the opener and outro:

  • “The Employee is Not Afraid”—Bear vs. Shark
  • “Ruska Vodka”—Motorboat

Perfect timing for the Seth drinking game!

Drink when:

-Seth talks about how an opposing team is not well-coached.

-Seth opines that there is a ref conspiracy against Michigan

-Seth mentions the Ravens or the "amoeba" defense

-Seth laughs at his own jokes

Drain your glass when:

-Seth says something that causes Brian to interject with some form of: "that's f*cking crazy."

  • Drink when Craig says he agrees with Brian
  • Shot when Craig says he agrees with Brian when he was agreeing with Seth
  • Drink when Matt EM says he agrees with Brian
  • Drink when Brian moves Jamie on from deep diving on a West team
  • Glass of water when Alex watches a game he shouldn't have to inform the rest of us on a guy we didn't need to know (this will keep you sober from the above, our poor brave Alex)

Jamie can give some fancystats on Indiana, as a treat.

Username does indeed check out.
Personally I think Craig is the ref conspiracy guy, not Seth, and I laugh at Seth's jokes way more than he does. And if anything we don't get nearly enough ref conspiracy talk on these pods.

I am already triggered about getting a fair whistle in the hornet's nest in 8 days. Was in that toilet bowl in '16 and am still furious.  Hopefully a lot more M fans show this year, which will hopefully mitigate the crowd's ability to intimidate the refs.
