Training Days: Alabama
Has anybody seen "Training Days" on ESPN? What do you think? I think the show is awesome and would love to see UM featured. I supposed we need to start winning some games first. Where is McElroy getting all his money? Drives a Range Rover, picks up a $200 dinner tab. Maybe the NCAA should look into this.

We better be #1. If you ain't first your last. Except for the bottom ten, then your both.

Scholarships are like gum...You have to bring enough for everyone.

McElroy gets his money from his rich mommy and daddy. He should send a few dollars sabans way for making him look good while being so bad.

I wonder how much of a recruiting edge this gives Alabama? I mean recruits get to see coaching staff, how practice is run, the facilities, and what the team is like without Nick Saban having to contact them or have visits. I know it might not be much of an edge but I think that it gives Alabama a slight edge. Not to mention seeing the program on the WWL all the time.

I think it has to help. They have some pretty sweet facilites. I like the automatic door in Sabans office.

Too many kids were letting the door hit them in the ass on their way out of the program.

...that look in Saban's eye? It looked like he was trying to think of reasons to boot players off his team...
Now WHY would he wanna do a thing like that?

It looks intriguing. Far more intriguing if it's not some program that has zero moral fortitude.
I had a hard time not just with McElroy's ride/dinner bill as I did with seemingly all the players on their team that ride on 24 inch chrome rims.
Getting money from boosters, getting free handouts all the time on campus (thus being allowed to spend their stipend on rims), or getting money from the game - I don't know. But it's one of the three.

Michigan should approach HBO to do a Hard Knocks college edition or even a 24/7 like they do for upcoming fights. Michigan has had a bit of bad press lately which has diminished our brand and this would help recruiting a lot.
