We’re a bunch of a random blog posters on the internet. If what we says affects the team negatively and hurts their ability to play, they’ve got some seriously deep-seeded issues, and probably shouldn’t be playing D1 ball to begin with.

Every fanbase has its share of negativity when things don’t look, good. If OSU football started falling off the tracks there would be talk of OSU fans getting ready to burn the entire city of Columbus down to the ground.

not the HC. Why are folks around the fan base down on this hire? Who coached the WR's last year? Also he's a better OC than a HC and he will game plan for the week. He's better than Dan Enos and more accomplished as a coordinator vs a HC(granted he won the SEC East twice and was SEC coach of the year). So I ask this question, who else was out there to hire? Did you really want Cam f'in Cameron who you seen down at LSU ran a horrible offense? At least JH4 is addressing the need and trying to take the program to the next level that it should be at. Can we as fans just wait to see what happens next season?

It always amazes me how individuals who have no skill set or knowledge sit behind their computers and second guess a highly accomplished coach. It’s ridiculous. There was clamoring for offensive staff changes. They occur and still the same people sit and criticize. I don’t read other fan blogs but I fear we can be some of the worst.

I could careless what Brian thinks on this hire. How many years of coaching experience does Brian have? I have none, but I can see changes are needed to compete for championships. Changes are being made. Brian and nearly everyone here thinks they have all the answers and you don’t! Never seen such a group of jerks and doubting thomas’s! Unlike most here, I am optimistic about changes being made. That doesn’t mean I am expecting a 11-1 season. Welcome to all the new Michigan coaches and hope you can lead us to championships.

because a coach has a TITLE doesn't have to be a exclusive assignment. It's not like their walled from each other. The coaches communicate with another. Might be the offensive coaching staff and defensive coaching staff are in their respective room's together game planning for the upcoming opponent. They share idea's. It's a combined effort. No coach is confined by a TITLE.

HateSparty raises an interesting point. Is there as much negativity on the fan blogs of other teams? Anybody done research there?

I suspect that the situation elsewhere will not be as bad, because we have higher expectations of our football teams, but just guessing.

Fair enough. The disappointment is understandable, especially over the loss to South Carolina, an inferior team we were expecting to beat easily. And of course that defeat probably contributed to the loss of some coveted recruits we hoped to land.

But even before that many of the comments upon players, coaches, and play-calling were pretty harsh, and where O'Korn was concerned, downright nasty. Even Brady throws interceptions when a big linebacker is charging hard at him unblocked; nor does awareness of the fact his two predecessors at quarterback sustained significant injuries do much for a player's confidence. Unfortunately, he was overmatched.

I suppose it is too much to hope for more understanding and sympathy from frustrated fans, but I hope that the players themselves do not find it too discouraging. They work hard and deserve credit for their achievements as well as criticism for their failures. We want to encourage them to learn and improve.

We are team supporters, are we not?
