OT - Other B10 spring games
OSU/PSU today, MSU tomorrow. We should have all three capped in HD and posted on MGoVideo.com sometime next week.
Should be interesting to see what kind of QB play PSU will have next year. Not that today will be extremely illuminating, but it should give us a good idea of where they stand.
Wow, only Sparty would have their spring game on a Sunday.
they're playing today but it won't be shown on the BTN until tomorrow.
they aren't important enough to get their game broadcast the day of? or maybe their video production guy got beat up by glen winston so it's going to take an extra day?
both.
mainly because they don't much matter.
I hope Michigan can beat them this year, seeing how they don't "much matter."
I mean, how embarrassing is it that UM hasn't beaten them the last two years--especially with them being so shitty and irrelevant and all.
Shitty and irrelevant State beat shitty but still relevant to the football world Michigan. The first time they won two in a row since my mom was a baby.
Both of Penn State's offenses are struggling.. They'll be solid defensively once again.
Newsome and Penn State's offense don't look great. Pryor is 8/12, a little over 100 yards, and a TD. He fit a couple balls into tight coverage, but they weren't spirals and he is still arm-punting it.
Newsome went 5-12, 50 yards, 17 yard long, 4 rushes for -8 yards (sacked three times).
You can pencil in McGloin as the starter but his stats don't look much better: 10-23, 110 yards, 2 INTs, 23 yard long, sacked once.
The leading rusher was Hykeem Brodie with 40 yards:

Penn State has been running almost exclusively from the pro-set/I-Form.. Both QB's are starting to open it up, I'd say McGloin is the starter at this point. Newsome is more talented just so raw.
It wasn't televised (I know, shocking, right?) but I can make a few educated guesses at how things went down:
1.) Fitz: yelling, fist pumping.
2.) The crowd: a bakers' dozen +/- a normal dozen.
3.) Dan Persa looked good at QB, changed name to Miloš Forman to placate lazy sportswriters and Czech nationalists.
