He did and because Jabbar was honored he also mentioned Roger Murdock and said How would you like hauling Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes. Fabulous

as someone who somewhat follows the WSOP here and there , I enjoyed reading the Hellmuth piece, as I didn't know they knew each other since coaching at Stanford. I've read Phil is a really nice guy outside of poker so it makes sense.

The coolest circle of buddies ever, however, was/is the one centered around tom mcguane and Jim Harrison (RIP). Doug Peacock, Jack Nicholson, Yvon Chouinard, Anthony Bourdain, Jimmy Buffett, and about 40 other guys you want to drink beers with.
