And with that in mind, I trust Hackett to get it right.

The Michigan leadership (Regents, President, AD, influential alumni, etc.) bargain shoppers from the past two coaching searches are on notice that this would be strike three and very detrimental to the University of Michigan if we get this hire wrong.

Our new hire must make a big splash and compete with Urban Meyer, Dantonio, etc. for competitiveness, recruiting, name recognition for recruiting, etc.

And we must open up the pocket book big time.

If we don't understand this than the University of Michigan is not the school I hoped and believed it was.

Hail.

Hey guys.....I posted late in the other thread about this the other day.

First off let me add again I don't want to come across as sounding like a know it all, as I am not but I do know about this stuff and I want to try and explan that there's lots to these so called "vegas odds stories". Also let me add I'm huge Michigan fan and I want Harbaugh to be their next coach badly as well so I'm rooting as much as everyone else.

Been out here in LV now for 6.5 years betting sports as I moved out here when the United States passed the UIGEA law that made it almost impossible to move money offshore and so betting sports online became extremely difficult for those living in the U.S.

First off the website sportsbetting is a scam sportsbook more or less. They are what we refer to as a "square" shop meaning if you actually win money betting sports or even show a pulse they will lower your limits so low it's not worth playing there or they will pay you and just boot you. They post stuff like this all the time for the free publicity it brings as newspapers in the United States love to post this stuff.

This kind of stuff isn't going on in Las Vegas at all as it isn't legal here to bet anything like the Academy Award or American Idol. So with that said this wager has ZERO to do with anything with Las Vegas. This is an offshore online sportsbook.

I know quite a few guys who bet at fairly serious levels and I have never heard one of them mention they have an account at SB. Not many play offshore these days as it's just too hard to move money but if they did I would be shocked if they played at SB as I don't recall anyone saying they play there since the law went into place.

Lastly the limits and size of a market can tell you just how strong the information is obviously. I read some journalist claiming they had $2,000 limits on this bet the other day. There's is no way a place like that would ever take a wager of that size on this particular thing. I have had accounts at close to 25 different online sportsbooks and never seen any take more than maybe a couple hundred dollars on this type of fun bet and the majority being just $100 limits.

I just called SB and tried to ask them what I could bet on this and they wouldn't tell me until I deposited and had enough in my account to ask for that amount to bet, etc (nice customer service, LOL). I had no interest in betting this but was trying to get an answer and so I said to them if they told me than I would be probably willing to make a large deposit if it's worth it. I asked to speak to supervisor, anyone about this and she said she already did and that's all she could do.

I then posted this question at one of the top sports betting forums and the few that have answered so far said same thing, that there's almost no shot this place is taking a bet more than a few hundred dollars on this type of thing.

Long story short I wouldn't put any stock into these odds etc......go blue
