Should Nick Sheridan be starting this week?
I believe Tate is playing hurt and unable to throw the ball down the field. Coach Rod knows how important it is to throw down the field, it keeps the corners and secondary players from pinching in, and keeps them on their heels not their toes. Denard is not yet ready to start at QB. Having said that, Denard has to much speed and elusiveness to be on the bench. Some bloggers believed that Terrell Pryor should be playing wide receiver, I believe Denard's speed warrants him as a wide out when not playing QB. Tate is a great player with many of years and games ahead, I fear what happened to Sam could happen to Tate. In my opinion, if Tate is playing hurt, asking a freshmen to carry this team while hurt, is asking to much. I would start Sheridan.

It's great that he's got the talent to be a walk-on at Michigan, but he couldn't even punch it in the endzone against Deleware State.
Yes, he had 2nd and 3rd string players around him at the time but come on, CONE looked better in the D. St. game with the same help.
This should be another opportunity for D-rob to get LOTS of snaps, IR-regardless of the score against the "Fighing Zooks".

It is clear that there are two options at QB - Tate or Denard. Much as some of us like to root for the underdog Sheridan just isn't a viable option as a starter. That said I'd like to appeal to the good graces of anyone calling him garbage, death, or sheradamit....funny as it may be at times it isn't fair.

Start? NO. Play? Maybe. We'll see. I'm going to be at that game, so I have selfish reasons for wanting Tate to start. I wanna see him play in person.

Cone could start and play the whole game against Illinois and you guys would win. Illinois is that bad this year.

...that Sheridan doesn't even start himself in NCAA 10 when playing with UM. But I still got love for him.

I once learned of an M player using a 7'10" created player with maxed stats named "LeRoy Train" as his quarterback.
Perhaps that tradition continued? I can only imagine the carnage of a LeRoy Train in RR's offense!
