OT: Texas Maalik Murphy enters the portal
I would imagine he immediately becomes one of the most sought after players on the portal market. This obviously leaves Arch Manning as their backup in the CFP. Murphy is a redshirt freshman and will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.

The list was long.. and, included Michigan, Oregon, and a number of stronger schools. What I saw / read - was that Murphy’s decision came down to Texas and UCLA.

I wonder if Murphy will ask Ewers about his experience in Columbus. After all, Ewers did play for the Buckeyes for a season.

He's going to transfer to the next school that Kyle McCord picks.... causing McCord to have to find a third option.... Murphy's law.

For everyone who downvoted me for saying Maalik Murphy is basically the same guy as Jayden Denegal, here are the schools Murphy is visiting: Baylor, Duke and Oregon State. Watch his game tape on Youtube, he just isn't all that good. He was never going to be the guy at a school like Texas, Ohio State or Michigan:
