You’re right!

As I said, I’m sure there are more coming of age films that I’d missed and that I’ll continue to miss. The Chocolate War could be added along with others like Blackboard Jungle; Coach Carter; Dangerous Minds; Freedom Writers; Goodbye, Mr. Chips; Lean on Me; Stand and Deliver; The 400 Blows; The Emperors Club; The Power of One; To Sir with Love and Up the Down Staircase.

based on the recommendation of some good friends and my deep affinity for "Jo Jo Rabbit" we just watched Taika Waititi's "Hunt for the Wilderpeople" - overall very good and quirky/unique in a mostly endearing way.  Worth checking out.
