Rivals 250 notes
rivals release the rest of their 250 today. here are some players with michigan interest or commits. perhaps someone else can tell us if these players' rankings moved since the last iteration of the 250. (everyone listed here is ranked 101-250 b/c the top 100 was covered yesterday).
- 118, commit Mason Cole
- 127, potential target PA S Montae Nicholson
- 128, commit Michael Ferns
- 154, potential target PA WR KJ Williams
- 181, commit Bryan Mone
- 229, target Parker Westphal
a few other notes:
- Speight not in their top 250
- Neither is Bunting, who we expected to climb
- Marshall, Bunting, Speight, Ways and JBB all got 3 stars.
I just thought I'd pass along the explanations given in their "chat" sessions.
I'm in that camp, but I haven't seen him around here in a couple years. Just this "WolvinLA2" guy, who's kinda shady.

This is EXACTLY why Rivals ratings aren't jiving with many "expectations" here.... note that Speight missed a full year due to injury... note that Mone is in Utah of all places...making it difficult to analyze..... give it time... Rivals is still the par excellence of the recruiting system.
And in a few years, when Hoke is REALLY cleaning up, then we'll surely hear in these parts, how great Rivals is.
Anyone know when Scout reviews their rankings?
this is kind of unrelated, but I might as well give the heads up here. 247 is coming out with its initial er...247 rankings...for the 2015 class tomorrow.
Does Beilein have a recruiting service? I'd rank that one 1st.
