Away Ticket Question
Not to be that guy who starts a thread for this, but can anyone provide insight on away game prices for Northwestern and Illinois? On Stubhub NU prices are starting at $65 (Illinois starting at $29 seems much more accurate), which seems very high for a Northwestern game. If I was willing to wait until game week/ almost kickoff would I be able to find better deals or should I stop being a little b-tch and just buy now?
Any help is appreciated and please feel free to hijack this thread for related questions because I realize it's not a great OP.

Thread jack: so I bought NW tickets with my season tickets but I haven't received them yet. Has anyone gotten theirs?

No. But they will. Every year I get nervous about away tickets. But the always show up in the mail a few weeks out.

I bought my tickets through the NW website and they came in the mail a few weeks ago. I turn 30 on the day of the game and I figured what better way to celebrate!

I received my NW tickets from the UM ticket office in Friday's mail.

I got mine for 30, sideline tickets were 45. I bought mine at the NU website a while ago though.

I, too, was worried about this. So I emailed UM Ticket Office 7-10 days ago (deleted the email so I don't have the exact timeframe) about this issue of ordering NW tickets with my UM season tickets. They responded that those tickets have not been mailed out yet and it is not unusual that I would receive them a week or two before the game.

Correction: the tix from UM ticket dept. were in the mailbox since Saturday...guess I should have checked.

Tickets for NW will be high (around face value) since there are so many UM alums in Chitown. Much easier for them to get to Evanston for game than AA. The stadium will probably be over 50% UM fans. You might be able to scalp a few for $40 but you also might get screwed and have to pay >$75.
For Illinois, tickets will be much cheaper, but their prices fluctuate like crazy. The Illini tickets go up and down with the W's and L's of the season. Better to buy them after Illinois loses a game or two IMO.

The Northwestern game is sold out, so $65 seems like a reasonable premium over the $50 face value. The game at Illinois isn't sold out so that's your difference.
When you buy/how long you wait is all about how much the effort finding tickets near the stadium and peace of mind is worth. To me they're worth quite a bit.

Went to the Illinois game 2 years ago and it was about 50 bucks per ticket from stub hub. Endzone seat about row 60.

For anyone that has tickets in the Michigan section for the MSU game, what section(s) is it? I'm looking to pick up tickets on StubHub and wanted to be among friendlies. UM's ticket office didn't know for sure, but thought 126-127, and I didn't get around to calling the MSU office before the weekend.
