"It's not about last year or who's here or who's isn't here," says your head coach. "It's about getting out here and competing and seeing who is here, and that's where we're gonna go."
Not sure if this has already been covered, but I just saw two differing descriptions of Sean Parker's height in two different articles. As we inch closer to (hopefully) persuading him to go blue, I'm interested to know which one is more accurate
Bleacher Report (I know, not exactly a rock of journalistic integrity) has him at 6'1''
Freep (Ditto above) has him at 5'10. (print only linked)
I know 3 inches isn't a HUGE disparity, but it seems like that can make a big difference for someone in the defensive backfield.
FWIW Sporting News just unveiled their final top 100 guys for the 2010 class
Recruits of Note:
We actually have 3 top 100 guys already according to Sporting News. I found it interesting that SN is still high on Miller unlike Rivals/Scout/ESPN.
Not that I know anything more than I've read, but,
Dorsey = 10% chance
Parker = 60%
Knight = 90%
I know how much the whole facebook creeping is frowned upon.. but this conversation popped up on my news feed today.
I hear we are gonna be teammates. You committ yet?
Naw not yet....
N sean ur waitin for signing day then?
Unless Parker was just saying that to respond.. I take a "not yet" to be a eventual yes. Thoughts?
I just listened to the WTKA Recruiting Roundup and a caller asked Sam who the "All-American" Sam was having one of his famous gut feelings about? Sam said based on conversations he had with Sean and other players (read Cullen?) at the Army All-American Game, he has a strong feeling that Parker will be a Wolverine.
He did remind listeners that he had a "gut feeling" in the past about Grimes too, but he pointed out circumstances changed with Grimes. He is hopeful we will be able to keep Parker for the final three week of recruiting.
Doesn't it seam like Sean Parker's recruitment is shaping out to look like Donovan Warren's did? Lets look at the facts.
First, a lot of the recruiting sites were saying that Warren was a lock to go to USC, but he went to Michigan. Parker has both of them in as his favorites. The fact that he's a lock to either of the schools has not been mentioned(to my knowledge).
Second, a little off topic, but they were both highly touted Defensive Backs comming out of Cal.
