Got an email with the above information from the U of M Chicago Alumni Association. Mark your calendars, Brian's coming to the Windy City. After hearing about last year's event in DC I'm thrilled that Brian will be travelling west on I-94. I know we've got a big contingent of MGoBloggers in Chicago, and I look forward to meeting some of you IRL.

Michigan Coaches Tour in Chicago Tonight - Mag. Mile Marriott
Chicago Alums/Fans, the Sports-O-Rama is tonight aka the Coaches tour... It was a fun event last year and is for charity (scholarships)/supports the alumni association.
Obviously Hoke, Beilein, and Red will be there...
Several hundred attended last year, and there are tickets available at the door:
OT - Lollapalooza tickets on sale now
www.lollapalooza.com - Early Bird and regular passes go on sale today.
No headliners or bands announced yet but they usually put together a good bill even if the headliners aren't so good.
Already got mine!
Anyone else going?
EDIT: Early Bird sold out as of 10:17am CST.
EDIT 2: April 11th is the lineup announcement date.
UPDATE: NW passes on all-purple court
You might recall a few weeks back when we addressed the four proposals that fans could vote for on Facebook and touched upon the one rods-and-cones-scarring possibility that the court would end up looking like this. Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed and the least awful option was selected.
Below is sample illustrating how the stained floor will actually look upon completion:
That’s actually not too shabby. You know what? Democracy: sometimes, it actually works!

Michigan Coaches Event in Chicago - Tonight
It was posted lower on the Board that the NYC event was last night. I saw some people were disappointed that they did not know about it, so I figured I would post a FYI regarding the Chicago event.
Hosted by the Chicago - University of Michigan Club.
Tuesday, June 14 · 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile
Last info that was emailed yesterday said that the event is going to have a great turnout, and they have stopped doing phone or internet tickets. However, they did say that there will be limited tickets available at the door. Cash $50. I assume you could at least try to call/email to confirm.
Just a heads up. I will be there and hope more can make it. Go Blue!
