Thanks for the video. I Thanks for the video. I can't sleep either. It's amazing, with everything going on at work, a major family holiday, etc, and all I keep thinking about is this game. I would say this game is easily the biggest game for this program since the 2006 game after Bo died. It simply cannot be understated. A win here could send our team to the playoffs, gain national respect, help enormously with recruiting and get a huge monkey off our backs. Clearly this game has implications that go well beyond this season. Now is the time... Not next year, or 2 years from now. And yet many of us, myself included, are so shell shocked by the last 15 years of this rivalry, that we almost can't imagine us winning. We are focused on the negatives, Speight injury, game in Columbus, poor Iowa/IU performances. Fuck OSU. I believe that we are taking this one... Because I believe we are the better and more experienced team and the better coaches.
I would say that there are I would say that there are also two Michigan teams... The one that beat up PSU and the one that got pushed around in the trenches by Iowa.
This game, like all games, will be determined by the basics...winning the LOS battles, turnovers, tackling. Nothing fancy or flashy.
Thanks Marvin. Really love Thanks Marvin. Really love the educational aspect of this blog. Perhaps I should be more direct. I am switching the subject to Jehu and if you don't like it you can kiss my pale, pimpled ass. What is going on with Chesson? Do people in the know expect him to revert to his last season form?
Not to switch gears on a Not to switch gears on a great Darboh story, but what is going on with Chesson? He looks full speed on the sweeps, but clearly is not receiving at the same level as he was towards the later part of last season. Is it still lingering effects of the PCL, or could it be that he just never developed the chemistry with Speight due to missing spring and much of the summer?
Trust the process. As a Trust the process. As a Sixers fan, the last few years have been brutal, but I agree. They may not win a ton of games this year, (my guess is 20-25), but I believe that they will at least be more competitive and fun to watch. Especially once Simmons comes back.
At Disneyland with the wife At Disneyland with the wife and kids. Already got into it with some people wearing OSU gear! Can't wait for Nov 29. We are going to take it to them in their own house.
Really painful loss. Rudock Really painful loss. Rudock is going to need another lights out game for us to compete with the Buckeyes. That preseason injury to Mone is coming back to haunt us. Just a thought here, but is there any chance Mone will be available for a bowl game?
Ok. Disclosure...I know the Ok. Disclosure...I know the Bellomy family on a personal level, and they are great people. I know that fans are down on him, based on the Nebraska game, and recent helmet issue, and I understand that. However, I am hearing that Russell is fired up and throwing the ball really well in offseason workouts. He just wants a chance to compete. He has had some really bad luck..thrown to wolves against Alabama freshman year, then a kidney injury, followed by an ACL the following year. He just wants a chance to compete. I hope with JH the best man starts regardless of name, stars, or hype.
I am an alumni and I kind of I am an alumni and I kind of felt out of place at Fox and Hound as well. This whole "Walmart Wolverine" thing is so stupid. Like the fans of all other big schools all went to school there! It's total crap. I just enjoy watching and talking Michigan football with other fans regardless of whether they went to UM or not. I hate the snobbery associated with that term. I remember wearing Michigan gear at state college at a PSU game, and (after we sliced them up- think it was a Tom Brady comeback), some PSU fans were like "did u even go there?" I looked around at the 90,000 Penn State fans and just laughed at them and at what hypocrites they were.
Another UM grad living in the Another UM grad living in the DFW area here (far north Dallas/Plano). Been to fox and hounds for a couple games, it's fun, but much easier just to watch in my Michigan themed man cave. Oh...and currently drinking a Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA....my go to IPA
