Aside from the Harbaugh coaching carousel this year and last, what can be pinpointed as the main reason(s) we have not been recruiting at 247 Composite top 5 levels? Is there something else that is hurting Michigan, especially with the top 100 recruits given the on-field success these last 2 years? I am curious to hear everyone's take. Why are we not a recruiting powerhouse right now other than the uncertainty of whether Harbaugh stays or goes?

Also, it is worth mentioning that some positive things took place this past weekend with Otis Reese: the Luke Bryan/ Reese Parents/ Frey & Partridge photo as well as a tweet from Otis in a Michigan pullover.
you did not let us have Willie Gay so please give us Otis Reese. It is just the right and just thing to do - to give us Reese. Anyways, any guy named "Otis" immediately makes them a 3 star recruit. Georgia got good at exactly the wrong time.
to want your coach to put some faith in the QBs he already has. As a big Brandon Peters believer, I am a little concerned that Harbaugh might be issuing a guarantee to Patterson. Do not want another O'Korn like situation that only flames out. Peters has all the tools!

I am simply asking why Michigan is not recruiting with a higher level of success with top rated recruits these past couple of years?
