Get a Job, actually

As a somewhat recent UM grad with younger siblings who got in, can't stress the importance of a job/work experience. Having a job in high school speaks to the independence, motivation, and other intangibles of an applicant that grades and test scores don't capture.

Seeing as most UM applicants don't need to work in high school, it makes your application stand out and shows your drive.

My grandfather served as the director of admission for Wayne State Univ. for 10+ years and talks about work experience as a huge X-factor.

Good luck to all!

Session 1: UM and Duke

I'm an alum currently living in Chapel Hill and trying to go to the game. Looks like session 1 includes the UM/Tennessee game and Duke/Hampton afterwards. Does anyone know if you can leave after the UM game and sell your ticket for someone else to re-enter for the following (Duke) game?

As a UNC employee, I doubly loath Dook, and will likely attempt to re-sell my ticket even if re-entry is not permitted.

Also, if anyone is in the Chapel Hill/Durham/Raleigh area and interested in going to the game let me know. Up for getting rowdy beforehand.
