That’s the least likely of…

That’s the least likely of all of this. Heupel has had nothing to do with OU since his firing, and would be quick to tell them to F off.

Not sure I’d call those…

Not sure I’d call those large, powerful animals. And a football field is hardly a limited space for miniature horses. It was too tight of a turn, and at least the 3rd time it’s happened. This was by far the best carnage, and the first time since hd video. Poor horses get overworked from all the touchdowns.

Baker was a slightly…

Baker was a slightly different case because he was a walk on and was not under scholarship with Texas Tech when he left.

OU only pursued one transfer…

OU only pursued one transfer QB. Hurts. I think the downside to Fields is he has more than 1 year of eligibility. OU has the top QB in this recruiting class signed, but he's not on campus until summer, so they just someone who could groom him for a year. I think the signing is a perfect scenario.

Remember the name? He's…

Remember the name? He's already one of the top receivers in college football and has almost 2,000 receiving yds in 2 seasons. He's definitely a freakish stud though and probably has the best hands on the team.

With the guys they've just brought in (3 of top 10 WR recruits in country, plus top TE), along with a couple of returning 900+ yd rushers in Sermon and Brooks, they're going to take a lot of pressure of Hurts.

Believe it. A lot of OU…

Believe it. A lot of OU insiders have reported Haselwood (top remaining unsigned recruit and former Georgia commit) will sign with OU and Fields will join him. Their plan was always to be able to play together. Not to say this is 100%, but the pieces line up.

You lost me at OU doesn’t recruit at an elite level While they might not be perennial top 3 classes, OU has recruited at an elite level since Stoops revived the program. Adrian Peterson, Tommie Harris, Gerald McCoy were all top recruits nationally. They’re competing every year for players also being recruited by Texas, Alabama and Ohio State, so I’m not sure where you draw the line as far as “elite level” recruiting. Here’s what I haven’t been able to understand about Wolverine fans since marrying an alum. Bring in a coach who wants to run a creative, modern offense, then run him out of town for not being a “Michigan Man”. Bring in Michigan men to run boring, 3 yard and a cloud of dust offenses, then complain about offense not being creative or modern. If Rich Rod had been given time and Don Brown as DC, Michigan might have been unstoppable.
That was Trevor Knight Confusing Trevor Knight for Baker Mayfield is blasphemy. Knight was not a freshman, and that was his last start for OU before Baker beat him out in the fall.
2nd largest crowd watching football anywhere in America today?

Most importantly, how will the PA announcer announce attendance, since they won't be able to say "Thank you for being a part of the largest crowd watching a football game in America today"? My bet is they completely ignore the madness that is the game at Bristol Motor Speedway and announce as usual.

You're absolutely right about

You're absolutely right about the Longhorn Network being the Big 12's downfall and I don't think anyone has any sympathy for UT, nor should they.

Since when

Were OU and Iowa rivals? As much as I'd love for OU to join the B1G, I think they go the SEC route for recruiting purposes. Moving to B1G, they risk losing their Texas pipeline.

Norman = OKC

"Does Norman get us into OKC? Do we need OKC? Does OKC even care about OU?"

Absolutely, Norman gets you into OKC, and OKC is rabid about OU, since it is essentially a suburb of OKC.  I don't know that it matters, though, since Oklahoma is such a boom and bust state, and even when it's booming, the OKC population barely approaches 1 million (and that's with an enormous land area).

What it does gain you is a better ability to recruit Oklahoma and Texas, along with a strong presence in Football and Basketball, as well as many of the sports no one really cares about.
