Whether you like him or not (I feel he is nothing more than a special teamer), CBS and other draft sites have him anywhere from rounds 3-5. Of course he could fall, but he's not off base with his projection
I personally love Scout, mainly for their insider stuff. I think Sam and Allen are the best, and generally have a ton of info. However, Scouts platform can be frustrating for general recruiting searches and their database takes some time to load. I use 247 or Rivals for that kind of stuff, but the insider info at Scout is worth every penny!
The last time I checked, people weren't hurt on every play in football. People get hurt doing things, every single day. My thinking isn't simplistic, it's just not over analyzed like yours. To say you won't watch football because of the possibility of injury is ludicrous. That would mean you have to stop doing everything in your life, because bad things might happen...
So, are you not going to live in a house because people get hurt building it...or drive in a car, because you can get in an accident, nobody is forced to play and even college players earn thousands of dollars in scholarships...they don't have to play if they don't want to, but to not watch, because it's dangerous, is always funny to me. How many other things do we do or watch that are dangerous...
I think you are underestimating both our strength of schedule, and poor offense. We are a couple of years away, and I'll be extremely happy with 8 wins.
Honestly...no matter what your opinion is of Cowherd, he tried everything to make that interview work. Gave him every opportunity to sell Michigan, Jim was disinterested; I don't think it matters as much as Cowherd thinks it does (I mean, how many 18-year-old football prospects are listening to sports talk radio?!).
