As a Miami resident, I'd…

As a Miami resident, I'd strongly suggest staying away from downtown Miami, Brickell, and Miami Beach (not just South Beach) unless you're looking to party while you're here (and spend another arm and a leg in food/drink).

My suggestion is to stay further north if you're looking for calmer. Fort Lauderdale is calmer than Miami, but still pretty busy itself. Hollywood and Hollywood Beach are closer to the stadium and are generally calmer beaches. Sunny Isles Beach is worth checking out too.

As a general rule here in Miami/South Florida, if there's a bridge involved, ie.- crossing the intercoastal, add another 10-15 minutes to your drive just in case.

Once you add in the fact…

Once you add in the fact that Hard Rock Stadium is actually closer to FLL and I think that it's the better option in general.

I'm a Miami resident and I'd strongly suggest visitors stay in Fort Lauderdale or Hollywood (or maybe even Sunny Isles Beach) if your intent is to go to the game and maybe get some beach time. Miami/Miami Beach is going to be more expensive and much further away.

I'm out in St Chuck

Yeah, I'm out in the 'burbs of STL, and have been for a few years. Know of any good places to gather and watch the games? Where the Alumni Association meets to watch games (OB Clarks) just doesn't do it for me.
