Hungry

If he put on a headset, it was so he could eat the microphone with ketchup and mustard without messing up his hands....after all, he needs to clap when the offense comes off the field.

Sorry, but I fell off the wagon on my UM schadenfreude 12 step program when VT kicked our asses a few weeks ago

Miller's development

True enough, but even Miller admits that playing his freshman year without a lot of coaching on fundamentals really hurt him. He didn't come to OSU with a refined throwing motion like Morris, but was far more mobile and able to run for his life, extend plays and make things happen.

Miller was confused a lot of the time during his freshman year and lived by one rule: when confused, run with the ball.

Thanks HH....see you back on

Thanks HH....see you back on the "Dark Side" at 11W

Besides....I had to endure the Cooper years...turnabout is fair play

I checked my posts and never

I checked my posts and never questioned who has "dumber athletes" But since you brought it up, I would quote Michael Corleone from the Godfather 2 when he said; "we are all part of the same hypocrisy."

Herbie has a job to do and I have no problem with him trying to be impartial, even though a lot of "Walmart Buckeyes" expect him to be a complete homer. I feel sorry for him with the crap he had to go through in Columbus. As for Pryor, I respect his skill as an athlete but think he is a narcissistic moron. But both are Buckeyes and always will be.

UM does have its skeletons too, as you pointed out.

I do post at 11W under the same name and we do have a couple of handfuls of Wolverines that post regularly there. We understand that all real progress is based on the constructive use of disagreement, especially when football rivalries are thrown in to the mix

Youthful offenders

He has stayed clean for a year, and had his record expunged because his case was diverted into "youthful offender" status. He'll still show up in the NCIC, and always will.

A few thoughts from a Buckeye

Let the hatred flow this week. It is a guilty pleasure that no one outside either university can completely understand. For those of you that think we don't consider UM to be rivals anymore, look on the lantern website (www.thelantern.com) and you will find our "Hate Michigan" traditions in full swing. The mirror lake jump, using red tape to "red out" every "M" on every sign on campus, etc.

Your guys will bring their best game onto the field Saturday. They always do when they play us.

Ignore the Walmart Buckeyes this Saturday. We have to ignore the Walmart Wolverines that come to Columbus. When all of the BS behavior of the nut-cases is stripped away from the game, the rivalry remains just as intense, but is just a lot more fun.

Hoke is not anywhere near as big a problem as Borges and Funk are. The good news is that if Hoke has the stones to replace them, things will get a lot better for your team in a hurry. The problem isn't your talent...it is your offensive coaching staff.

I have enough scars from the Cooper years to ever forget that this thing between us is cyclical. With that said...

GO BUCKS! Show no mercy!

Huge Automotive state, Industry?

Glad to finally understand why Ohioans are so jealous of "Satan's Mitten." But I do have a couple of questions.

If you guys are the captains of the automotive industry, why did the federal government have to bail out 2 of the Big 3? Perhaps you're more like Captain Schettino.

How are things going from an economic perspective in Detroit?

So has Michigan developed any radicially new industries since Henry Ford? Semiconductors? Communication Semiconductors?, Software?

So is this person a "future

So is this person a "future murderer" becuase he actually played for Ohio State, killed someone and was convicted or are you just throwing a little gorilla dust with your argument?

That isn't what the press

That isn't what the press accounts said, but thanks for clearing that up.

BTW, I am hardly trolling. We have plenty of UM posters at 11W that post regularly too.

My undergrad roomie (Ross

My undergrad roomie (Ross MBA) and I went to a party hosted by one of his B School classmates that year. It was easily the most painful experience that I have ever had on game day. Surrounded by Wolverines, Biakabatuka running wild, hearing "hail to the victors" again and again. I took more abuse that day than Borges has taken on the MGo board to date.

Freakin' Cooper never got it

Biakabatuka

Every time I see the ESPN special about the rivalry, I want to scream when they get to the 95 game and Biakabatuka. We didn't see it coming and got our a**es handed to us.

Cooper just never got it when he was a coach, but he does now as a long time Columbus resident

Thanks for that. I actually

Thanks for that. I actually don't think Shazier is very sensitive about it at all anymore. Growing up? Well, that was probably a different story.

Dont Forget; Gardner guaranteed a victory

Should be a piece of cake from his perspective.

"this is defnitely a championship caliber football team that will win in the "Big House" against Ohio State".... Devin Gardner to some Detroit radio station back in June 2013.

Hoke is going to be pissed at him for adding "State" at the end....

There is an interview on 11W

There is an interview on 11W from not too long ago in which Shazier talked about being hairless virtually his whole life. If you google the site for Shazier Kindergarten you should find it.

Cryin Lazier?

Hmmmm...What an interesting writing style you have! Such clever nicknames! I'll bet you've already worn a hole on the back of your "Walmart Wolverine" hoodie from patting yourself on the back.

Well played!

Seems like Fitz picked up

Seems like Fitz picked up where Hart left off...well at least as far as Sparty goes....ooops...forgot about Brandon and the whole sky-writing thing. Didn't turn out the way he planned I guess.

For Buckeye trash-talk he can get a lesson from Desmond or Woodson

Since kindergarten

That is when his alopecia hit full force. Imagine being bald your whole life....that is why he is so tough....sorta like a "boy named Sue" thing

True dat as they say in the

True dat as they say in the "all powerful" SEC. The players learn to respect the rivalry eventually...other than Hart of course, and we all know how that turned out for him...

Other than the aforementioned example, it is pretty rare for either of our senior leaders to step out of line and start talking smack. The younger guys gotta learn that at a minimum, talking smack is just bad juju. Bad juju in our case wakes up the gods that brought Biakaba-still-trying-to-forget-him.

Peppers already talking smack

Well, Shazier is off by a bit because the actual total is 102. But that is not unexpected since he recorded 20 solo tackles last week and might still be a bit loopy. Don't worry, your guy Peppers has already started providing us with bulletin board material, just like Kalis, Pipkins and a few other guys that hadn't played a snap of college football when they started spewing "there will be blood, etc. etc.".

A different perspective

When Meyer first arrived at OSU and called his first meeting at 6:00 AM, a bunch of guys missed it. A few were late for a second meeting. One story circulating is that Meyer promptly moved the whole team out of the locker room and told them that they had to earn their way back. He then started conditioning at 5 AM outdoors in the snow and 10 deg weather in response, and told everyone that they were going to make every class, work their A**es off under Marotti and if they missed anything, they would be running at 5 AM whether it was snowing, raining or whatever. If they wanted to quit, that was fine with him. Marotti had the team lose more than 455 pounds of fat before spring ball in 2012 and replaced it with 500 pounds of muscle. The offensive line alone was responsible for nearly 150 pounds of lost fat. But that was really just the beginning of the entire system he has installed at OSU.

That is a fair argument and

That is a fair argument and as many have pointed out, timing is everything. One year plus or minus and we wouldn't have gotten Meyer. Would we have gotten the next Tressel or the next RRod instead? Hiring is always a crapshoot in any business. I am not a Gene Smith fan because I believe he was culpable in the tat 4 case and I think JT took one for Smith, the team and OSU.. That is a view that many OSU alumni share. UM is a top flight academic institution and nothing will change that, but to think that either of our football teams is well represented in their respective colleges of engineering, serious pre-professional school programs or in STEM majors is simply untrue.

Actually, I could get all the

Actually, I could get all the schadenfreude that I need by lurking here. Since you are an existence proof that a rival can add persepective to a  fan site, I figured that I would give it a shot over here. I am sure that I will feel as much love here as you do at 11W

Cooper Years

FWIW, I think that a lot of TTUN fans feel like we did during the Cooper years. We wanted to believe the story, but the pile of losses to you guys and just about anyone that we played in a bowl game made us bipolar as a fan base. Fire Cooper! Keep Cooper forever!I think it is going to take Brandon awhile to sort Hoke out for you guys...and I'm not gonna lie....that makes us happy. With that said, you guys have all the talent you need to compete and Hoke's view that it is all about "better execution" is wrong IMO and that of many other (rational) Buckeyes. It points the finger at the kids and not where it belongs: at the coaches
