Did you ever see Adrian Peterson coming out of high school? Because he wins that category for me hands down.

I actually generally like Ray Lewis

Yes, his preachiness can get a bit tiring but at least he's willing to put himself out there like that. For me personally, there is just too much uncertainty to blame Ray for what happened with the double homicide. Maybe because I personally know someone who killed someone in a similar stabbing, I'm not as quick to judge, nor judge as harshly.

A bit of luck

We can win but not without some luck and us shooting at our average or even better. They scare the hell out of me with Zeller dominating inside and if they put Oladipo on Burke, I think that's pretty much game blouses. He's defensively he's craft 2.0 with waaay more length and that scares me. Now I agree that they are going to try to put Yogi/Hulls on Stauskas which is a good match for us but we need to get the ball in his hands and try and run as much pick and role with Stauskas with Hardaway or better yet, GR3. This benefits us greatly because either they don't switch and we have Stauskas driving against Hulls/Yogi or best case scenario they do switch and now we have one of them on either Hardaway or GR3. We have to exploit that all day if they have Oladipo on Burke.

Not quite sold on Green

While I'm very excited about the committment, I'm more excited because of the fact that he's a 5 star and the top running back in his class and what that may mean for future Michigan classes, rather than Green himself. He looks pretty good but on tape he doesn't appear to be the same caliber of the other running backs rated at the top of their class. Obviously I hope he proves me incredibly wrong and then comes to my house and punches me in the face, but I'm not sure he'll live up to the hype.

I know my opinion is far from popular

But I don't see why this is even a matter of discussion. I have no idea what happened that night. Whether it was him who stabbed them, or his friends, or anyone else or if they stabbed them out of self defense. There are too many questions and nothing close to enough evidence for me to jump to any conclusions of who did what. I agree with the people saying we are too quick to throw out the (possible) bad but by the same token many of those same people are quick to dismiss the good that he's done for numerous people and at least that we are certain on what he's done. I don't know how you begin to try and weigh those scales and determine if someone is good enough of a person to qualify for the Hall of Fame. As far as I'm aware it is based upon your on the field performance, and that metric alone. When people compare MLBs he is the bar that they are measured against. That is Hall of Fame in my mind.

Manti is gay

Does anyone else think so? (Nothing wrong with being gay at all) Because the more I read about it, the more sense it makes and more people are coming out saying so or hinting at it.

The Ole Miss love

Can someone who may have visited Ole Miss or is from the South explain this to me? Because as a Nothern Black Male, I can't fathom going to Ole Miss no matter how attractive the women are because of how racist it is. I can understand most of the other schools because they are good and have a good shot of getting you ready for the NFL but Ole Miss sucks and yet they are in play for 3 5 stars. Maybe my perception of Ole Miss is warped but I can't understand it.

I agree with Ohio States decision

Last time I check hes innocent until proven guilty. I wouldnt want someone from our team booted just because someone sued them, or they were charged. Now if they lost then by all means discipline them to the full extent but not before that. One eye witness saying that she heard Berry admit to the assault doesnt mean anything. If thats true there should be a police report of it. Do I believe Berry assaulted the guy? More than likely, but its a bad idea to start punishing people before the facts of the case get out. Also, you do have to look at the possibility that other person could have provoked the fight, got his ass kicked and now is just looking to get something out of it, as someone else already mentioned. Not saying that is still acceptable but I believe that as a coach many of us would view that quite differently than just going and beating the shit out of some player.

Not even close

Theres two ways to judge it. 1. Based upon rankings and 2. After the fact evaulation. This class isnt even close in category one and obviously we have to wait several years to get an idea of the second criteria. This is a good class but I dont think comes close to most of the 90's classes, not to mention the old days when we could just take tons of players before the scholarship limits. I see this class finishing about 5-8 once the top level 5 stars shake out unless we just get tons of steals.

I'm kind of surprised

I'm kind of surprised that he didnt get two games for the facemask twist, or that it wasnt even  mentioned. The one game suspension for the punch sounds right. I know that most people wont agree with me but his punch was relatiation (Lewan was push on the back of his head/grabbing his facemask), not that I'm saying that punching is the right response but I can see one of our players doing that, and they have, and I wouldnt be too upset.

This is insane

I agree that what Gholston did is completely deserving of a two game suspension but I really think that everyone is overreacting and taking this too far. What he did to Denard was pathetic and in my eyes, by far the worst thing he did. Punching Lewan was not that bad at all. If we remove our biased for our players, Lewan clearly pushes Gholstons head into the ground while hes down, (we were lucky that wasn't called because that is clearly a personal foul) and then Gholston gets up and punches him. We need to stop pretending that he was trying to kill Lewan or something. Lewan was wrong and Gholston reacted very stupidly but to call him a thug and talk about how stupid he is, is unfortunate and frankly, hypocritical. I dont believe that people on this board were callin Jonas a thug and stupid for punching another player or Greg Mathews when he kicked the Oregon player or punched the Florida player. Things like that happen and I agree its unacceptable and he should be suspended but too many people are making this into more than it is. The far bigger play is the helmet pull. Thats far worse and more likely to cause injury than a punch.

Secondly, while I dont believe that Lewan called him 'Tom' in a racist way by any means (if he even called him that), a white guy calling a black player 'Tom' is always going to be taken that way when it clearly isnt his name. I dont believe that Lewan would call him that at all but using the "he plays with african americans" as a reason why doesnt help defend him, it looks stupid. All division teams are going to have african americans, more than likely are going to be a majority black. Using that as proof isn't logical. (see Buck Burnette, Bill Romanowski, etc) I think mentioning this story and getting it out would go a much farther way to clearing the young mans name.

Our defensive talent

I hate to say it but I believe that alot of people are overestimating our defensive talent right now. We simply arent very talented. I dont think that Mattison would blitz as much if the defensive line could generate any sort of pressure with the front four but we see that isnt happening so he has to blitz. Some people seem to think that theres some perfect scheme we could use or to adapt the defense around the players. While I agree with adapting to the players, I feel the difference between adapting to our offense versus our defense is that our offense is much more talented. Frankly, what do they do well that we could begin to build around? He has to blitz because otherwise they would just move the ball and tear us up like they did the first couple of drives and how WM Qb did as well. Plus I believe he realized that Rees, while more accurate and a better decision maker than Christ, doesnt have the arm to throw it deep (30+ yards in the air). So I think he just banked on blitz and tipping the blitz to try and get to throw the hot read and keep it short and underneat and hope they could jump one ala Korvacs.

I was sitting in my friends

I was sitting in my friends dorm room and I ripped my shirt off and start sprinting down the hall. Amazing, gutsy performance by everyone involved. One of the greatest games I've ever seen. The atmosphere of the game was perfect. Just a sea of maize and our fans refusing to leave, our players jumping in the crowd, just everything. And how can you possibly not love denard after that interview? He's just too damn likable.

He has no idea what hes talking about

Denard ran a 10.44 in the 100 meter dash and a 6.81 in the 60 meter dash. Taylor might accelerate a bit faster than Denard but he loses on top end speed anyday.
