I agree about the return of unlimited pos/neg bangs. I think the better solution would be if every poster had a limited allocation of up/down votes per day. Hopefully it would make people think a little more about what they choose to vote on rather than negging everything they disagree with or upvoting mildly funny jokes that don't really add much.
But don't you feel like it's been trying to ram its personality down our throats a little more the last year or two? Everything always has to be quirky or a meme. No one ever says "run-first pro-style offense" anymore, it's always "MANBALL." Things like this get tiresome after awhile and what used to give this blog personality is now very overbearing and often unnecessary. (Not that this stops me from checking this site a thousand times a day.)
That should be four players without an "excuse," but I think my point still stands. Also, it's been awhile since I've posted here and I cannot find a way to edit my post. Any help, please?

Thanks, wish I could help you with the Lions salary cap but I'm not a fan and don't follow the NFL closely enough to know the nitty gritty of how the salary cap works.
While I think it's possible that they're paying recruits, I don't find it probable. Let's break down their recruiting class. Of their 27 commits, 16 are consensus (Note: when I say consensus in this post I'm referring to the 247 composite rankings) 3-stars. Of their 7 consensus 4-stars, four (two of them Jucos) are from Mississippi, a state notorious for keeping it's talent home despite rarely having a decent instate program. Now let's look at the four 5-stars that are getting everyone's panties in a bunch. One (Tony Connor) is a local kid, Nkemdiche's brother plays for Ole Miss, and another (LaQuon Treadwell) has a good friend and former teammate (Anthony Standifer) who also currently plays for Ole Miss. So all in all, there are three highly rated players, out of 27 total commits, who don't have an immediately obvious "excuse" for choosing Ole Miss. Now considering that Freeze came in to the job with a reputation as an excellent recruiter and the fact that recruiting can be pretty momentum-based, I find the evidence for any cheating to be circumstantial at best.
I used to be conflicted over whether or not I wanted Ohio State to win, but now that it appears obvious that they're about to win, I want so badly to see them choke. I think the shots of osu fans celebrating in the stands were what convinced me that I'm rooting for the Ducks.
One thing I've noticed is the amount of time that Barkley has had to throw compared to Tate. If our o-line lives up to expectations over the next couple of years, Forcier could put up huge numbers.
"If so and so hadn't been tackled, that could have been a touchdown(!)". Well, no shit Sherlock.
Also, "Now its a football game" when the score gets closer, as if they were playing cricket beforehand.
ACC: UVA is first, I'm considering it for college and I have a cousin who went there. Also, Virginia Tech and Clemson because I have a cousin at each. Also also, Georgia Tech for the triple option.
Big East: Rutgers maybe, because they're my (somewhat) local school. Otherwise I don't really care about the Big East.
Big 10: Indiana because my mom is an alum. Purdue after that because I have a lot of other family members that went there.
Big 12: Nebraska. I feel guilty about this choice but Eric Crouch was my favorite non-Michigan player when I was little.
Pac 10: Cal just because it is a good school.
SEC: Auburn, another cousin is a student there.

2. Lifelong fan (I have the baby pictures in Michigan gear to prove it). My dad is a Michigan alumnus who also grew up a Michigan fan in East Detroit. I've been watching Michigan football since before I remember. I vaguely remember the 1997 season, but can't remember any specific players and games until 1998 (Anthony Thomas, David Terrell, Tom Brady etc).
3. Stuyvesant High School (I'll be a senior this year).
Cy Young played on some of the worst teams ever. He also played when pitchers got a lot more decisions (although this would inflate his win total a little as well as his loss total). He should still be considered one of the best of all time. Not to mention the near uselessness of wins and losses at determining how good a pitcher is.
No thanks. That game defined their program, let's not let it define ours. Playing them again would just make them more important to us than they should be.
