LAZ Parking is the new…

LAZ Parking is the new parking vendor for the Pioneer lot.  They have sent out emails to people who have purchased season parking passes in the past allowing them purchase for upcoming football season through their new web site.  The season parking pass fee of $355 for 2021 for a general auto pass is consistent with prior years.  I guess they are going to roll things out to the general public soon.

There was a dust up over the increase in fees for reserved RV parking, now at $405 per game - I don't remember what it was prior since I don't have an RV.

QR codes will be used for season parking pass holders at Pioneer.  Apparently, no paper passes will be used.

Yes, every other year when…

Yes, every other year when it is a Michigan State home game, otherwise HELL NO!

I agree.  We puff up our…

I agree.  We puff up our chest too much for a team that has not won the conference for 15 years.  Sounds a little pathetic.

"And when we play as a team, when the old season is over, you and I know, it’s gonna be Michigan again, Michigan.”  This rings a little hollow for football.

Do any of the players on the field even remember when we last won the conference in football?  I don't think they know that "it's gonna be Michigan again".

Could we maybe switch it up a little and play that speech Bo made to the team in 1971 before the Iowa game that is played frequently on Brian's Sunday podcast?

"Listen up gentlemen I've got something to tell you.  When we take the field we are going to win. We've got to win this game and there is no game on the remainder of our schedule more important than the one you're going down the tunnel to play today. Now let's go!"

Play that before the team takes the field.  That would get the crowd fired up!

Both couples continue to receive votes though, so let's keep this up.

The ground will be plenty…

The ground will be plenty saturated.  Cars will be slipping / spinning their tires and ripping up the turf something awful.  They are just trying to limit damage.

You can't cross a street…

You can't cross a street with an open container.  Stay put and drink, or finish your drink before moving on.

I had this exact same…

I had this exact same experience in 2012 for the night game there.  Parked on golf course, kind of in the back and it took over two hours to get back to our hotel a couple of miles away.  Could not leave the car overnight so we had to wait it out.  It was the worst after a loss.

A "where are they now"

A "where are they now" article on Mike Walker would be awesome!

Drew Sharp

I never read Drew Sharp, never needed to since I always knew what he was going write.  If Michigan lost well that just confirmed that Michigan sucks, if Michigan won well "every squirl finds a nut", and Michigan still sucks.

His columns were probably written before the season, with alternate endings depending on the actual game outcome.  He never seemed to have an insight into what just happened just a narative that he stuck with.  Boring.

Love the 3:30, always have.

We go around on this everytime a kickoff time is anounced.  Wonder what the % of Mgoblogers is that like the noon kick.  I bet its less than 50%.

I've been to every home game the last five years and love the later starts for tailgating.  But even before that when I had young kids and no season tickets, I still liked the later games so that I could settle in for the day have a beer and watch the game with no responsibilites after.

I've never understood the thought process that basically comes down to - I'm love noon starts that I can get the Michigan football overwith and get onto other things.  For me Michigan football is the main attraction and needs star billing which is either 3:30 or night game.

Parking limited

Great ... no general public parking at golf courses.

I know where I'll be at 5:30 AM tomorrow morning - in line at Pioneer waiting for them to open so I can have a spot to tailgate.  Parking may be as bad as OSU last year.

Already set up Tailgate all set up at Pioneer across from stadium, light breeze, perfect cool early-morning temps, it's going to be a great day!
Fithian, Karsch, Payne

I miss the old days on WTKA with Karsch and Fiftian in the afternoon.  I think for a while after Doug Karsch left Rod Payne (former UM player) joined Dennis Fithian in the afternoons.  Rod did not last long but he was a kick.

Ardmoor is not the last....

.... Greenview, Marian, Kirtland, and Woodland are closer residential streets off Stadium Blvd. with free street parking.  Granted they fill up faster, but I think you can get closer than Ardmoor.  If you go to the end of Woodland, Kirtland, or Mairan (off of Stadium Blvd.) and park, there is a path down there through Pioneer Woods that dumps you out on Seventh Street next to Pioneer.  Easy walk to stadium from there.  This is a super easy place to leave from - either going out Scio Church Road or Stadium Blvd.

Sadly, this year, this kind of detailed advice is not really needed as nothing has been too crowded.

Pretty sure he was back in there at the end....

I'm pretty sure I saw Peppers in on a gang tackle on Utah's final drive after the game continued.
