Why didn't we pursue Nu'Keese Richardson harder?

There was earlier talk that he was solidly committed to Florida, but that turned out not to be the case. Did RR back off his recruitment after a while, or did he recruit him 'till the end? With two of his teammates committing to Michigan, I guess he really didn't want to join them for whatever reason.
