We lost Barwis. Cited lack of family values. He's transferring to Kent State.
some things we just dont joke about, ha
Oh of all the shit that gets posted around here, that crosses the line? Got it.
I thought it was fairly funny.
Are you still amongst the living?
We lost:
Threet (QB for anyone that may have somehow forgotten that one in this overly long offseason)
Clemons (slot)
Horn (RB)
Butler (TE)
McGuffie (RB) (side note, my sister always called him "Scruff McGruff" so I'll miss him just for that, even if he ran like he was trying to win the proper posture contest (upright, for anyone that didn't get that joke))
I got all this off of the depth chart revisions by Brian. So feel free to add to this or tell me if I'm wrong somewhere.
Butler went to the NFL, that doesn't really count, I think he's with the packers
So a revised list would be:
Threet (QB)
Clemons (slot)
Horn (RB)
McGuffie (RB)
Babb (WR)
Kates (DT)
O'Neill (OL)
Wermers (OL)
Anything else that needs to be changed or added?
I think you can add Zion Babb (WR) and Jason Kates (DT) to that list.
we didn't lose anyone. Anyone of real concern that is. With respect to Sam's family situation, and Threet's best efforts, this "attrition" is really addition by subtraction.
Keeping some of these guys around for depth would be nice, but better in the end I say.
Threet is a loss. He was very inconsistent, and may well have been beaten out by Forcier anyway, but he had some ability, and a year of experience under his belt. I would have felt better having him around as insurance in case of injury to Tate. As it is, we may have to hope Sheridan gets it together because asking Robinson to step in as more than a change-of-pace guy could be problematic.
The eight schollies will be nice.
just players moving on...
Ok, maybe Clemons and McGuffie - who I believe would have flourished in a more limited role.
I wasn't too high on Clemons, but I definitely agree with McGuffie.
enough said. I would think it is best to weed them out as early as possible. This will open scholarships for players who want to work, compete, and fit the schemes being run.
If I recall right, Wermers was not going to see the field here as he just wasn't progressing. Nothing against the kid but, if he feels going to the MAC gives him a chance to play more power to him.
I've heard the rumor (and lets pray it's true) that Tacopants, yes he of the never-expiring-eligibility has had enough of being hit in the crotch by Tate (he is 11' tall); and is transferring to OSU to share douche bottles with Boren and make circus grabs for Pryor.
But my sources in Helsinki say Tacopants entered a civil Union with Boren in order to compete on a higher level here:

(sorry, can't embed that one)
The question, as ever for these two, is one of tops and bottoms.
I was praying that asshole would transfer. Thank the heavens!
Artis Chambers?
Three-deep or GTFO. As far as I am concerned, McGuffie and Clemons were the only losses.
