UofM Softball wins again, earns trip to World Series

UofM's softball team won again today, 7-1 over Baylor, and will advance to the College World Series of Softball. Jordan Taylor got the start today and pitched 7 innings, allowing 5 hits and 2 walks, striking out 13. Taylor was player of the game...if they bothered to have that on ESPN, as none of her teammates decided to show her up by hitting 3 homers. Angela Findlay was the best Wolverines batter, getting 2 hits in 5 Ab's, with 3 Rbi's and 2 runs scored. The catcher, Roya St. Clair, added 2 Rbi's on a 2/3 performance, and yesterdays winning pitcher, Nikki Nemitz, drove in the other 2 runs. UofM advances to Oklahoma City to face the Crimson Tide. Any UofM fans out that way should check it out, as it can't be often any Wolverines teams get to play out there. It also just feels so right to root against Alabama, doesn't it? I mean, a school to our south full of toothless inbreds, wearing red? Best of luck to the Michigan Softball team, hopefully they can bring home another title for the Maize 'N Blue!

Their pitcher just threw back-to-back no-hitters in the Super Regional. Michigan has a good-hitting team, but still.... My mom hated Bear Bryant with a passion most people reserve for their exes, so rooting against Alabama in anything is no problem for me!
