OFF TOPIC: Tiger Stadium starts to come down
This article doesn't do much to alleviate the Freep's well earned reputation as a home for shlock writers and stories with little to no real material, but it did let me know that an important place of my youth is coming down. There was no reason to keep the stadium once Comerica Park was built.
The Tigers (and Tiger Stadium playing a critical role) were a large part of my youth, so it saddens me to read that the Stadium on the corner of Michigan and Trumbell is finally being put to rest.

Many great family memories were created in that spot.
They still exist.
Place of my 1st major league game. I am an Angels fan and my dad took me to see them. Angels won 9-2 that day. Lots of HR's in that game.
