Russell Shepard
So anyone watching the LSU game has to notice their QB is playing well. He is also a true freshmen. Just wondering if Russell Shepard is having 2nd thoughts considering he will probably have to compete for the job for 4 years, and 3 if he redshirts. Or is LSU planning on playing him somewhere else? Just wondering if we had any chance (prayer) at him if in fact he is waivering.

No, Russell Shepard is one of the top 5 players in the country, he's not worried. Those kids have been told they are the best by everyone and their mother. If he's scared of competition I don't think he'd be where he is. Unless Terrelle Pryor's in front of him, he probably thinks he'll get to play right away.

Well Ryan Perriloux committed there when they had good depth at qb. If Shepard comes in, he can redshirt and have two to three years as a starter depending on whether Jefferson goes to the draft early or not.

Now this guy's gonna get drafted? Let's watch him start 4 games first, shall we?

I'm not saying he is going to get drafted, I am saying that by his 3rd or 4th year if he is good enough and is starting and decides to leave that will leave Shepard with two to three years of playing time. The guy can very well also lose his job next year who knows, but I hope you understand my point.

wasn't he following his girlfriend to LSU? we could send down a homewrecker from A2???

Rumor has it that Les himself is the ultimate homewrecker.

Which is why it is rumored that Lloyd was against hiring him along with Brian Kelly, who is also rumored to be a home-wrecker.
