is waaaaaay too preoccupied with verbal jabs against Michigan. I'm sure that the whole "attrition" and "returning coaches" comments were aimed as contrasts to michigan at least in some degree. That said, people need to stop getting so worked up over it.

he just seems like kind of a nut who focuses to much on the rivalries. I think he would be cool with going 2-10 as long as he beat M and ND.
The best in-state rivalries are intense and competitive.
he is just trying to keep his team relevant knowing that everyone there just wants to write more on the RR transition, or fawn over the chances of PSU or OSU making it into the bcs
