I would say you can't go wrong with either. I think the best pick this year is #2 since you still get one of the best but don't have to make the decision.
Unless your league has some non-traditional scoring metrics (like say, turnovers), I would probably take the player you'd like to root for more. In this case, it looks like LeBron.

Damn I need some help here people! I can't make these kind of life changing decisions without the Mgoblog!

Good point. I guess the bigger question is who to take with my pick in round 2.

I had the first pick too and I went with Chris Paul based on him finishing first in the rankings the last two seasons

LeBron's FT% will kill you over the course of the season.

Just make sure you select Jose Calderon or Ray Allen in the later rounds to offset that. :)

in my draft earlier this week, and I went with Lebron. Bron is the only player in the league that comes even remotely close to averaging a triple-double. I think last season he averaged 28 points, 7 boards, and 7 assists per game. That is absurd. Paul is a great player as well, but I would actually take Dwyane Wade before him. Wade is basically a one-man team down there in Miami.
In years past, I've never had higher than the third pick and my strategy has always been to go for a dominant point guard and center with my first two picks. That sets me up nicely in at least the three major categories: scoring, rebounding, and assists. Don't get me wrong, you can find good point guards and centers in later rounds, but the number of elite players (in terms of fantasy value) at those two positions is very small. Elite wing players (again, in terms of fantasy numbers), on the other hand, can be found as late as the eighth or ninth round.
Some sleeper picks that I would recommend you draft earlier than their pre-draft ranking:
Andris Biedrins (GS)
Anthony Randolph (GS)
Blake Griffin (LAC)
Russell Westbrook (OKC)
Tyson Chandler (CHA)
Emeka Okafor (NOR)
Shane Battier (HOU)
Al Horford (ATL)
Zach Randolph (MEM)

It really depends on the scoring type. If it's Roto I'd say go with Lebron because he's going to help in more categories. In a head-to-head points league I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Chris Paul.
He is better in Roto and head to head.
Won't kill you in free throws like LeBron. Also if you are in a league with A/T you automatically win that category.
Not to mention the insane number of steals and assists he gets is equivalent to having two decent players in those categories.
CP3 all the way.

I went with CP3 last year and won my league. You can't go wrong with Bron though.
Your best bet is to ask ESPN's Chris Broussard who he would take and then select the other player.

Like that team a lot. Are you in a competitive league? Doesn't look like it because I don't know how you stocked up that much. Westbrook fell to the 8th round?

I took a late flier on him to handcuff to Boozer. I wound up trading Boozer about a week and a half before he went down (heh heh went down) with his annual injury and Millsap filled in more than admirably. I got Rondo and Sessions for the Booze Cruise, IIRC.

As a Bulls fan you actually selected Ben Gordon????? I'm so glad he's out of Chicago. Let him dribble out the shot clock, take bad shots and play ZERO defense for someone else.....I understand fantasy basketball isn't real basketball but I can't have a had a time cheering for guys to do well when they are on my fantasy team.

Its a $20 a person league and there is 10 teams. Also my list isnt by round just randomly listed. Felton was my last pick.
