OT: Tigers July 31
34 pitches in the first is definitely not Edwin-esque. Didn't give up anything in the second...hopefully he just settles down after that.
90 pitches before the bottom of the 4th. Not good.
Good appearance by Perry tonight, they'll need him to be huge the rest of the year.
Tonight's game shows why not getting a bat will hurt the Tigs down the stretch.
At least were tied...but the White Sox won so we really need to win. Oh and the Twins are losing in the 11th.
Watching this team bat is teamful. It's like I'm just waiting for the next out, especially when Marcus isn't swinging well. Then he pops out like he just did.
What is teamful?

meant to write painful. But teamful could be the new term for the inept tiger offense. Sure they can get hits, but critical hits.. forget about 'em.

It baffles me as to how you can write "teamful" while trying to write "painful"

I propose that this term be adopted into general usage to describe a team or unit so uniformly bad that no one player's poor play stands out. For example, watching the 2008 Utah game, one could say, "That Michigan offensive line is just teamful."
Like "The Lions 2008 season was teamful."

You have 810 points, why don't you have an avatar? I saw your name close to the top of users by mgopoints and I had no idea who you were. It's because you have no picture.

Watching this game is truly more frustrating than watching sheridan try to hit an open receiver

Why do you trade for a pitcher when it is hitting that you need? 2 on with out and you cannot get one run in. Pitiful.
Prediction: Tigers will finish with a losing record.

Not only 2 on and 1 out vs an awful pitcher, it was our 3 and 4 hitters coming to bat!
The hitting is so bad its insurmountable... I can not believe we did not trade for a bat. We could clone verlander 5 times and have him pitch everyday and we would be 500 because we can only get more than 2 runs about half the time.
And why would leyland allow santiago, the #9 hitter, to swing when there is a runner on 3rd and 1 out? No wonder we are the worst team in the majors at getting in runners from 3rd with 2 outs...

Actually the Royals are worst than us. Laird leads the team with sac flies with 3 and Cabrera has 0. I think he is like 6-53 with RISP since late May.

I think the tigers will finish 85-77. They're just going to play this .500 ball, winning series at home, losing them on the road. However, I think the Sox or Twins or both will finish ahead of Det.

Man we fucking cannot hit at all. How the hell did this happen? Hitting was supposed to be good.....
Last I checked we had one hitter batting over .270
