OT: Tigers July 31

Submitted by Ultimate Quizmaster on
It looks like Edwin Jackson doesn't have it tonight, but that's okay. Maybe the offense will wake up. EDIT: I don't mean Jackson is pitching poorly, just that it's not Verlander-esqe, like the way E.J was pitching first half of the season.

34 pitches in the first is definitely not Edwin-esque. Didn't give up anything in the second...hopefully he just settles down after that.

I propose that this term be adopted into general usage to describe a team or unit so uniformly bad that no one player's poor play stands out. For example, watching the 2008 Utah game, one could say, "That Michigan offensive line is just teamful."

You have 810 points, why don't you have an avatar? I saw your name close to the top of users by mgopoints and I had no idea who you were. It's because you have no picture.

Why do you trade for a pitcher when it is hitting that you need? 2 on with out and you cannot get one run in. Pitiful. Prediction: Tigers will finish with a losing record.

Not only 2 on and 1 out vs an awful pitcher, it was our 3 and 4 hitters coming to bat! The hitting is so bad its insurmountable... I can not believe we did not trade for a bat. We could clone verlander 5 times and have him pitch everyday and we would be 500 because we can only get more than 2 runs about half the time. And why would leyland allow santiago, the #9 hitter, to swing when there is a runner on 3rd and 1 out? No wonder we are the worst team in the majors at getting in runners from 3rd with 2 outs...
