Verlander pitching today. Laird batting.....2nd?!

Tigers down 0-2. Discuss.

I'd rather have Verlander hitting 2nd over Laird. Laird might as well be taking a rubber ducky to the plate instead of a bat.

Rain Delay. That's the only thing that could have saved Verlander. He's been horrible tonight.

Verlander looks bad, but based on the weather out my window (given, a couple of miles from Citi Field), this might be a doubleheader tomorrow.

I was flipping back and forth between this debacle and the Deadliest Catch. I'm going back to watching crab fishing. Just one of those nights.

I missed the start of the game and getting to see JV pitch but its too bad with Sborz.  I would have liked to see him have a better outing his first time being called up.

Since you guys watch him maybe you can help. I have Rick Porcello on the bench in my fantasy league. Is he salvagable this year or should I just drop him? I need to make room and someone has to go.

I think Porcello will be fine when he comes back from Toledo. It worked well for Scherzer, and Porcello was dominant last year.

Of course, take that FWIW, because I'm a rather optimistic Tigers fan, and can't imagine losing Porcello for an extended period of time, and him not coming back successfully.

My question is when Porcello will be back up in the bigs. There are only ~3 week until the all star break, so if Leyland and co wanted to keep Kid Rick in the minors for over a month, they could get away with it.

With that said, in a keeper league, it might be tough to drop Porcello.

I'd keep Porcello. He's going to be back this year, and Homer Bailey is managed by Dusty Baker, which means his arm is likely to get wrecked within 2 years.

Milwaukee is up 7-3 on the Twins in the Bottom of the 7th. It'd be nice to stay 1 1/2 games back rather than 2 1/2. Sad to see a MLB debut go so poorly but soon enough Porcello will be back to his former self.

I was at Sunday's game in Detroit and today's game in New York... got to see Boesch hit two homers in three days.  Almost made getting drubbed after a 50 minute rain delay worthwhile.
