OT: Santonio Holmes TD
Did Santonio Holmes really make that catch? I know it doesn't matter now but I thought this was kind of funny...

It was most likely a lucky shot and he really did get 2 feet down but it is still interesting.

....what makes you think this picture was taken before he gained possession?

arguing that he didn't make the catch like I said it was most likely a lucky shot... I just thought it was a cool picture.

Based on a couple of the replays they showed while the play was being reviewed, I'm pretty sure his toe touched down right after that shot. I didn't really want it to be a catch, but the replays didn't give me reason to doubt that it was a catch.
In conclusion, still images can easily be misleading.

I've seen stills with both toes down. He definitely caught it.
The far better question is why no one is questioning Fitzgerald's first TD. He didn't make that catch per the letter of the rule. The nose of the ball hit the ground. It's a dumb rule really, but it's the exact same basis that they took away a Santonio Holmes TD in the AFC championship game. The games over, so it doesn't matter, but it's just kind of funny that all of the conspiracy-theorists who think the NFL gave the game ot the Steelers seem to be constantly omitting this one (amongst other points).

once again an incorrect call has helped crown champion. if u watch the replay holmes had his right foot down as the ball approaches and as the ball sailed to his left he reaches to that side and before the ball makes contact with his left hand he lifts his right foot places his left toes on the ground and falls forward. at regular speed and being the cynic I am, I deduced that he did not have both feet in based on sound scientific evidence.
arizona may have still lost but the call was not correct.about the only thing it may have changed was the anointing of the mvp and we all know who benefited from that.

That's just ridiculous analysis. It's obvious that he caught the ball and got both feet in. That said, if you really want to say that he didn't get it in, then you can't in all honesty say that "an incorrect call has helped crown champion" because BOTH TEAMS would have benefited from TD catches that weren't.

I said this from replays the night it happened.

On the same note, this pic shows that he did get them both down, though you can't really see the ball.
