OT: Question re: NCAA for Sony Wii
Before my question, let me preface by noting that, unfortunately, I am old (like over 30 old) and that the last time I played any video games regularly was when my roommates and I spent the better part of our senior year playing NHL '97. My wife just got me a Sony Wii for my birthday, and I am looking for a decent football game. I have seen NCAA 2009, and wanted to know what people's thoughts were on it. Does it have Michigan as a team, and if so, will I be stuck with the (mostly) crappy members of our 2008 or 2009 team? Any advice would be appreciated.

Congratulations on being the world's first owner of a Sony Wii. Good luck finding games for it. :)

Yes, it does have Michigan. Yes, it has the (crappy?) roster. Yes, you can adjust the difficulty level and win 10+ consecutive National Championships. Yes, it will be gratifying. Yes, the Free Press will call you a cheater.

I won the Heisman '08 with Threet. Also, Toney Clemons stuck around to win the Heisman in '09 for me. Warren went pro after his junior year. So this proves the accuracy of the game.

Exactly, I won back-to-back Heisman's with McGuffie and a Thorpe with Stevie Brown. Then a third Heisman with a QB from Ca I renamed Tate Forcier and gave him the #5.

With DRob, you should still be able to punish kids, regardless of the rest of the roster.

I knew this post would be bad when I saw Sony Wii in the title, it did not disappoint. Does a college football game have one of the most important football teams of all time in it....hmmmmmm

The title sounded like an automatic lose.

But you have to upload it to a Nintendo Playstation format- Good luck

You got a Playstation 2? Nah, I got a Gamecast...

Hold on, I need to pull over before I can answer your question. It's hard trying to drive my Audi Corolla and answer questions on the LG iPhone at the same time.

Is this the best joke ever? Or is the OP serious? I really hope this isn't serious.

Just in tears. Jonny and DeWitt FTW!

Michigan's in there, but the best teams to be are the Texas Sooners, the Florida State Gators and the Alabama Tigers.

NCAA 2010 is available, don't get 2009. Or wait for 2011 in July. Your choice. Michigan in 2010 is decent.

I hate how they date them a year in advance. 2011 =/= next year, no matter what EA Sports claims.
January 26th, 2010 at 5:32 PM ^
Actually, 2011 does in fact = next year, considering it is currently 2010. I agree with what you are saying though, since NCAA 2011 will come out this year.
I can't wait for John Madden's NBA March Madness 2k11. I just hope it is available for the Sony Wii.
The Sony Wii is worth getting just for the VHS-Ray player.

Betamax-Ray player, but it only allows movies up to 30 minutes per disc.
