OT-Question About New-ish Apartments at Hill & S. Forest
Quick question: Does anyone live at the newer apartments at S. Forest and Hill (NE corner), or know someone who does? I'm looking for anybody's 2 cents on them.
Also, can anyone hook me up with a link to the leasing company's page? My Google skills have failed me.
I'm guessing the units are egregiously over-priced, but I at least want to check out all my options before settling down in Bum Park. Thanks.
Egregiously overpriced is about right.
The scuttlebutt when they opened (and I have no reason to doubt this because it is firmly in the realm of possibility) was it was about $1000/bedroom, similar to the prices at Zaragon, the new tower next to the old Red Hot Lovers.
I did look into Zaragon. There are only 2+ bedroom units. Do you know if this place has any 1 bedroom units?
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it is four 4BR units in the building.

Info about that particular building. It looks like they are all leased for next year, and it's about $1000 per person.

1 bedroom? You gotta have a roommate or two based purely on splitting the cost of a keg.
I miss Michigan real estate prices, even AA prices. Chicago carries a huge sticker shock for those moving from Michigan.
Same here in NYC. Man, you forget how much a $1000 can get you in MI versus other parts of the country (if a place can even be found for under $1400).
3 apartmentfuls of my friends signed a lease there for next year, and one apartment was able to negotiate the lease to include free parking spots and furniture. It's still expensive but they're apparently pretty nice.
Wichita, sounds like you're moving back to a2? What brings you there?
If you're looking for one bedrooms in the Forest / South U area, you might want to take a look at Forest Plaza. I live there now - its an old building but its in pretty good shape. Its a good location if you're a b-school student and many of the occupants are MBAs. The building typically fills up during the MBA admitted students weekend in mid-April, but it looks like they have plenty of units open now.
