So I watched the start of the game against OKC, and they scored like 30 points in the first quarter and looked great, especially Cade and Garza.
I changed channels, then found out the next morning they had lost, finishing with only 72 points.
WTF happened?

- Their G team was better than ours. More athletic, more talented. Not only do they have Green, who looks to be the real deal, they also have Josh Christopher and some guy from Turkey, who looks to be a keeper as well. We're missing the Isaiahs, Stewart and Livers, either of which would have had an impact on the game. Dembouya, I think that is the spelling, has regressed and will probably be traded, while Tyler somebody isn't going to make the team either. Cade had a good game, no one should regret the pick. Surrounded by better teammates he's going to be a difference maker.

I guess it bears repeating, lol. Sorry, on my phone. Also, I don't know where that '1' came from, like I had some serious points to make. Oh, and towards the end of the game we missed 3 or 4 threes that were taken back for uncontested slams. Cade and most of the starters were out of the game by that time

Cant wait, love this summer league team. Interesting Kentucky Blue unis

Nearly 3 minutes in and I'm not sure if Cunningham or Green have touched the ball more than once.

Spoke too soon, Cade knocks down the 3

Cade outplaying Green thus far

Luka Garza is going to play some minutes for the Pistons this year

he's always had 'big league' eyebrows.

I think I’m regretting the Cade pick now.

I think it's too early to make that declaration

Don’t be a dingus
August 12th, 2021 at 11:17 AM ^
I'm not. I don't think a lot of the g-league team is going to sniff the NBA. The Rockets definitely had more talent

Watching Garza is so funny. Just looks so gangly and weird in the open court. Defense is bad as expected.
That being said, he is clearly dedicated to reshaping his body and is playing hard. He could be a very nice bench player if his defensive skills improve even slightly. Will be fun to see what happens to him.
Josh Christopher looks like a future NBA superstar in this game. Damn.

Christopher air balled an uncontested three. He is also very much about himself, just like in college. It’s nice to have someone like that on the team to be an alpha, but you have to be a lot better than him to do that. He can be a nice spark plug from the bench, but he isn’t going to be much more with his game

Also ripped the ball from Garza and made a ton of huddle plays out there. Had a nice dunk too.

It’s summer league. Everybody chill.

New here?
August 11th, 2021 at 11:12 AM ^
No doubt. It’s dashes of offensive brilliance scattered around piles of very bad defense.

Green is impressive. Maybe I shouldn’t have formed my draft opinion without ever seeing him play…

I think Cade will be fine, it is interesting that he hasn’t attempted a free throw through the first 2 games. I like Cade running the point, Killian is nice but can’t shoot a lick.

aau, summer league, G league.... it never stops

Despite the stats, Cade looked better than Green easily IMO. Green does a good job of getting to the line though.
