So I watched the start of the game against OKC, and they scored like 30 points in the first quarter and looked great, especially Cade and Garza.

I changed channels, then found out the next morning they had lost, finishing with only 72 points.

WTF happened?

  1. Their G team was better than ours. More athletic, more talented. Not only do they have Green, who looks to be the real deal, they also have Josh Christopher and some guy from Turkey, who looks to be a keeper as well. We're missing the Isaiahs, Stewart and Livers, either of which would have had an impact on the game. Dembouya, I think that is the spelling, has regressed and will probably be traded, while Tyler somebody isn't going to make the team either. Cade had a good game, no one should regret the pick. Surrounded by better teammates he's going to be a difference maker.

Watching Garza is so funny. Just looks so gangly and weird in the open court. Defense is bad as expected.

That being said, he is clearly dedicated to reshaping his body and is playing hard. He could be a very nice bench player if his defensive skills improve even slightly. Will be fun to see what happens to him.

Josh Christopher looks like a future NBA superstar in this game. Damn.

Christopher air balled an uncontested three. He is also very much about himself, just like in college. It’s nice to have someone like that on the team to be an alpha, but you have to be a lot better than him to do that. He can be a nice spark plug from the bench, but he isn’t going to be much more with his game
