Tubby could be a possibility, but even with the large amount of money Oregon seems willing to offer, I don't see them luring many big name coaches.

Do you think any "name" coach is going to go to a place where the AD fired the last coach then quit his job 48 hour later? That place is a mess and Phil's money isn't going to help this time.

Although Oregon is a mess now, I believe it has more upside than Minnesota. They have great facilities, with Nike they have more money than most schools, and the Pac 10 is not as deep as the Big 10. I've got to think if Tubby is offered the job it is at least 50/50 that he takes the money and the upside that goes along with the Oregon offer.

I hear Bob Stoops and Urban Meyer might be interested. Terry Foster chimes in that Deshawn Sims might be transferring there to use up the rest of his infinite supply of eligibility.

With John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, and Bledsoe all seemingly earmarked for the lottery why not throw everything at Calipari. Its not like everyone doesn't already consider him a scumbag, and his ability to land top notch recruits is indisputable. Regardless of the prestige of Kentucky, something tells me an extra couple million a year and the possibility of cushy Nike jobs for some of his friends would at least get him thinking. I'm not saying it would happen, but is it that far from the realm of possibility?

Given their resources, I feel like they could do better. Tubby is old, not that great of a recruiter and nothing special as a bench coach.
