OT: NBA to have 2 Game 7 Conference Championships since 1979

Submitted by Occam's Razor on

This might be one of the more interesting NBA playoffs in recent memory.

So many storylines and injuries for that matter.

Kevin Love is out. Chris Paul should be back, and Andre Igoudala is questionable.

Who ya'll got for the Finals?

The league has been corrupt for years with gambling and long series to drive up ratings, just another year of it... I’ll scoreboard watch then turn it on if it’s close, the NBA lost me as a true fan years ago.

As a Celtics fan.... I think the game is very close tonight. Warriors probably find a way tomorrow. I can’t pick for tonight, so I’ll say Warriors in 6 no matter who they play.

Looks like Paul is out for game 7. I got to go with Warriors - Celtics. Celtics because game 7 is there and the home team has won every game in that series and no Love. I wouldn't be surprised to see Houston win though. The Warriors don't seem to be as sharp as other championship years and it seems to take a lot to get them motivated.

I'd like to extend hearty congratulations to Adam Silver, the TV networks, ownership and most importantly the highly professional officiating crews for their complete success in rigging not one but two conference championship series.

Don't at me, I don't even watch the NBA.

If Korver were out, I'd pick the Celtics. Love? Eh. I don't think it will matter.

I know that -- so far -- the home team has dominated this series (and, for the most part, it's happened in the Rockets-Warriors series, too), and I know that Boston has been pretty unstoppable at home, but...I think LBJ does his thing tonight, puts up 40+, and the Cavs take it in a very close game at the Garden.

I don't know that I agree with the coaching observation because they play defense and team basketball.

I believe that, if they go down, it will be because Iguodala is really more important to the final result than Curry.

Normally you'd think that two game sevens would mean there's been scintillating back and forth basketball by both teams. Alas, that's not the case here. Hou-GS has been comically sloppy basketball with some of the most ridiculous turnovers and wild three point attempts I've ever seen at this level. BOS-CLE has been six straight games of the road team either not showing up at hall or just mailing it in after halftime (though that's not terribly surprising from the Celtics, given their youth and inexperience). Celtics-Rockets would be more appealing, but I'm pretty sure it'll be Cavs-Warriors again (with GS winning in 5). I will say this: the defensive intensity from Golden State is awesome when it appears (usually in the third quarter).

All I know is that the Cavs are going to win tonight. The storyline will be how Lebron willed his team to victory on the road. There will be many clips of Lebron sipping damn near death and mentions about how he’s the first to [insert obscure stat here].
He will make it to line 28 times and shoot ~40% from the floor, but the Jordan Lebron debate will continue for another two weeks
