OT: MLB Trade Rumors predicts Victor Martinez to sign with White Sox
To my fellow Tigers fans on this blog: this would suck. They also have Max Scherzer predicted to go to the Yankees, which isn't too much of a surprise but losing Victor Martinez would really cause this team to fall in the American League. Also, hilarious: According to that site, the Tigers lose Max, VMart and Hunter with all their 10s of millions of payroll and who do they sign with it.... just Andrew Miller.

The reality is the Tigers may need to overpay for Victor if they have to, because otherwise if they lose him and Scherzer they are simply not going to be a contender next year. The window will shut on the Tigers if they lose both of those guys,and don't replace them.

Vmart had one of, if not his best season during a contract year in 2014. Although he is one of my favorite Tigers and a great hitter, I'm not expecting that production to be the norm. A lot of guys have great seasons in contract years.
